His eyes shot up at Lucie as she stormed toward him. At least she wasn't running full sprint, gun in her hand. Jack was tricky, but hunters were known to get a leg up on Tricksters before. And Hell hath no wrath life a woman scorned. Or, however the saying went.
"Okay, okay," he said, taking what appeared to be a wooden stake from the trunk before backing away. It was amazing the variety of weapons that a hunter had. They are all practically hoarders, gathering up any sort of weapon they can get their hands on. Not a bad idea, of course.
Jack put a few more yards between him and Lucie. Better safe than sorry. Humans were known for their sudden, violent outbursts. Jack would rather not be on the bad end of one of those.
Pointing the wooden stake at Lucie, Jack gave her a wink. "First of all, you're a hunter. Because of this, you probably have this uncontrollable urge to stick something sharp into my chest. I'm gonna have to ask you to calm down so we don't have to turn this into a fight." Not the best negotiator in the world, but it wasn't turning out terribly.
"I am a Trickster. You know, Pagan God, likes sweets, can be killed with a wooden stake dipped in the blood of their victim." Hence why Jack took the stake from her car. If she found any sort of blood at scene where the car accident and the two guys fighting took place, she could very well use it to kill Jack.
Telling someone all of his tells and weaknesses wasn't the best way to ensure survival, but hopefully it would get Lucie to trust him a bit. "And...I need your help. Any help, actually. My whole species was wiped out a long time ago, so I'm practically alone on this. I'm looking for this blade, a very powerful blade that can kill an archangel. You know that angels exist, right?" Jack was probably going a little fast. Angels kept pretty mysterious until a couple years ago, so he wasn't expecting Lucie to know anything. It was going to be fun explaining the whole "new God" situation.

I'M ON THE HIGHWAY TO HELLliving easy, living free season ticket on a one-way ride Lucie watched as Jack had taken the wooden stake from the trunk. Once he was far enough away, she rolled her eyes at him and slammed the trunk closed. She wasn’t going to kill him now, even though she was angry enough too. But she was too curious as to what he was, and why even make conversation with her in the first place? He obviously wanted something, because she most likely would have been dead by now. Lucie was intent on hearing him out, even though he had just single handedly ruined her chance of having a “normal” morning. She was very interested in what this creature wanted from her, and how did he even know that she was a hunter in the first place?
She still had her arms folded across her chest as she watched him cautiously. And the wink didn’t make her feel anymore at ease. ”Fine,”
Lucie let out a small sigh, ”I won’t lash out at you, even though you deserve it.” She shifted her weight slightly and walked closer to him, becoming calmer, because she didn’t want to scare him away. ”Right, right. I’ve read about you.” Lucie nodded, observing the trickster in front of her. She had never actually encountered one before, so this was a rather important moment for her. And the fact that he was the last of his kind made this even more interesting. ”You need my help? Why me?” There were countless other hunters out there, so why Lucie? If there was a specific reason to her than she’d like to know it, though she was betting on that she was the closest to where he happened to be staying. Jack was going rather quickly about the information he was spewing out, but she tried her best to keep up with him. ”Yeah, well I’ve never seen one. But I believe that they do exist…” Lucie answered, trailing off a bit. What could he possibly want with an archangel blade? Well, if it weren’t the obvious “kill an archangel” reason. ”If I were to offer my assistance to you…what would I get in return?” Lucie questioned, though she wasn’t exactly coming out and saying that she would help him. Because as of now, killing an archangel sounded like something that would land her in the deepest pit of hell, though she was still going to hear him out. This was just another one of those situations where Lucie’s curiosity had gotten the better of her. LYRICS;; HIGHWAY TO HELL - AC/DC TAG;; ODDRIC <3 WORD COUNT;; 417 OTHER;; LE DRAMA. "One question at a time, Luce." His cute nickname for her. "First, about the angels."
Jack let the wooden stake fall to the ground as he idly checked his hand for splinters. He had to get those things out normally. Not so much because stakes were a sort of weakness for him, but because he didn't trust himself using his powers on such small things that were in his body.
"Not all angels are the nice and loving beings that you've heard of. They can be cruel, emotionless, murdering bastards. And right now, all the angels are in chaos. They have no real leader, just a false God. Some are joining with the new man upstairs, some are fleeing, a few are even rebelling." Rubbing his index and thumb fingers, a tiny piece of wood fell to the ground.
Suddenly, he pointed at Lucie. "As for you, I picked you for a very important reason. No one else could do this." His serious expression turned to a playful one. "I'm just kidding. This is all pretty much on a whim. You seemed like a nice enough hunter, so I decided to ask for your help."
The Trickster clapped his hands together. "What you get in return...well, I am a demi-God of sorts. I could probably get you whatever you wanted, no strings attached. I'm not a demon or an angel. It's not even so much of a deal as it would be a favor." He bit his lower lip, pausing in thought for a moment before snapping back to reality. "But what you should really be doing this for is to save the world. Maybe the whole universe, actually. To get right to the point, an angel opened up Purgatory and absorbed the souls of 30 million monsters. This granted him unbelievable power, allowing him to kill even the strongest of beings with just the snap of his fingers. Now he's calling himself 'God' and his reign of terror is about to begin. We're talking wrathful, vengeful God here. Bow or die, basically."
Arms folded across his chest, Jack waited for Lucie's response. It was probably a lot for her to take in, especially if she hadn't heard that angels actually existed until a minute ago.

I'M ON THE HIGHWAY TO HELLliving easy, living free season ticket on a one-way ride Lucie raised her eyebrows at him. ”Luce?”
She crossed her arms over her chest and titled her head to the side slightly. She wasn’t in the mood for getting nicknamed anything, especially by Jack. She watched suspiciously as he dropped the stake, narrowing her eyes at him; he was still acting somewhat friendly, but her senses were on high alert. All trust that she had for this man had completely vanished, when well, he vanished. The fact that he was just using her this entire time infuriated her, and she wasn’t all too sure if she was even going to help him out because of it. Not all angels are nice? What was he talking about? Lucie’s eyebrows knitted together as she skeptically listened to him. It was unreal to her for him to be talking about angels in such a horrible way. She ran her fingers through her hair, trying to make sense of everything that he was telling her. A false God? Lucie felt completely out of the loop, and wondered if any other hunters knew about the current situation of heaven. It was odd hearing about it, and how apparently angels were either submitting to this new God or fleeing. ”If you’re so certain that there is a new false God, than what’s it’s name? Or does he go by God?” Lucie questioned, quirking an eyebrow at him Her eyes widened at Jack. She was the only one who could do this? Lucie felt important for a moment, until Jack said that he was just kidding. Which just made her even angrier at him. He thought she seemed like a nice enough hunter? Pfft. That was his mistake. Lucie’s eyebrows raised again, tempted by his proposition when he said that she could get anything she wanted in return. As he explained the whole situation, she couldn’t help but wonder if she really wanted to know this. It might just make her life even more complicated, if she were to help out a Trickster, or whatever the hell he was. ”Bow or die, huh?” She hesitated, not sure whether or not she even wanted to help Jack. ”I-I’ll try to help you, I guess. But you have to treat me to pancakes, first,” Lucie grinned smugly at him, she was still hungry, and if she were to help him than treating her to pancakes was the least that he could do. "Oh. The name." Jack paused again, rubbing his hand against the back of his head. "Uh..." What was the angel's name?! Geez. Jack just seemed to forget about all the non-important details of things. After all, if there is an omnipotent being running around and you might have a way to kill it, do you really care about its name? "I think it starts with a 'C'. The name doesn't matter, though. Believe me."
Jack smiled as Lucie asked for pancakes. He was pleased to see that she was no longer completely furious with him. Plus, he did really want to have pancakes. This also meant that he had a potential ally, which would be very helpful for his mission. He needed all the help he could get.
Something was itching away at the back of Jack's head. Weird images and visions starting coming to him, sort of like memories. Specifically of a man in a trench coat, and Jack insulting him and making him vanish with a snap of the fingers. No, this was more of Gabriel's life pouring into Jack. Was that right? It had to be. These were Gabriel's memories.
"Castiel." Jack had begun to accompany Lucie back to the breakfast diner, but he stopped abruptly. "That was weird. It just came to me. The angel's name is Castiel." He sort of flinched, looking around. "Actually, maybe we shouldn't say his name outloud. If he's able to somehow tell when someone is saying his name, we could be in trouble."
A single hand rested on Jack's noggin, he was having another headache.

I'M ON THE HIGHWAY TO HELLliving easy, living free season ticket on a one-way ride Lucie couldn’t help but roll her eyes at the trickster. He couldn’t even remember the damn name of the angel that was now playing God. She was still annoyed beyond belief but since she was going to get him to pay for a pancake breakfast, than she would deal with it. But how did the name not matter? If there was a new God, than why wouldn’t the name be important? She was puzzled, but she didn’t ask, because she was still quite angry with Jack.
They had begun to walk back to the diner that they were headed to in the first place, when he suddenly said it. ”Castiel?”
Lucie repeated. It certainly sounded like a biblical name. She stopped and looked at Jack, a concerned look on her face. ”Are you all right?” Lucie placed a hand on his arm, confused at how he was looking around. She quickly regretted saying Castiel’s name out loud, because of what he had said. It worried her, because what if he was right? She didn’t have experience with angels before, let alone Gods, so she didn’t know what she would do if she were to ever encounter one. Lucie turned back to Jack, who had a rather odd look on his face. She noticed that he had his hand on his head again, maybe he was having another one of those “headaches” he mentioned earlier. ”Jack, what’s wrong? And I know it isn’t just a normal “headache”. Please, tell me what’s happening to you,” She tried to sound as concerned as possible, when it was really her own curiosity getting the best of her.
