She had been driving back up the East Coast from Florida to New York after a photo shoot when her car had decided to break down in the middle of South Carolina, leaving her stuck on the road. It was hot and getting near night fall, and she was not walking for who knows how many miles. The last sign she had passed said the nearest town was twenty something miles away, and she wasn't sure how long ago that had been. Even though it may have been shorter than she had guessed, there was no way that she was walking that distance. If it had been something as simple as a flat, she probably could have fixed it on her own, but her luck was never that great. Something with her engine. Letting out an impatient sigh, Alina glanced down at her phone screen. No signal as it had been for the last forty-ish minutes. That was just even better. The silence was driving her crazy, making the little whispers in the back of her mind even more prominent. If it weren't for the fact she was hoping that she would somehow get a signal, she probably would have just turned on music from it. In her quest to get a signal, she had even stood up on the trunk of her convertible to no avail. With that in mind, the roof was currently down, and Alina was sitting on the head rest of the driver's seat, legs crossed and shoulders hunched slightly. There was a small pout on her lips as she readjusted the hem of her dress, tapping her almost impeccably manicured finger nails on her phone screen. Modeling part time definitely had it's advantages - like the money and clothes. Some were really uncomfortable and crazy to ever consider wearing outside of a photo shoot, but some where also very comfortable and very cute looking, like the one she was wearing. Might as well embrace the positives. Even if at the moment she was finding that rather difficult.

Ambriel had two duties. The duty he was created to do: protect and communicate with humans. And his second was to be loyal to his creator. That failed, so he swore alliance to Raphael. He died, so then he stood by Castiel.
It was all very confusing. When Raphael was murdered, Ambriel had to join with the angel he was given orders to kill. But, he couldn't rebel against the new God. He had to be loyal to the highest power. That was just...the most reasonable thing to do. For a moment, though, he thought about running away. Running away from Castiel, and Heaven, and everything!
He promised himself never to think about that again. Not too dwell too deeply on being loyal to Castiel. Every time he did, he would second guess himself.
There was a soft flutter of wings, a sound that accompanied an angel with they traveled, as Ambriel stood quietly. He was a short distance behind Alina and her car.
Ambriel's purpose here was to fix her car and make sure she got back on the road safely. After all, she was human, and he had to help her. As far as he knew, anyways.
Checking the buttoning on his black shirt, Ambriel moved forward, approaching Alina's car from the side. "Excuse me, miss, are you all right?"
A single car drove by them as Ambriel stopped by the hood of the Alina's vehicle, looking up at her. "Forgive my intrusion, I just wanted to know if you were any difficulties."
His speech was better than most angels. He had spent so much time interacting with humans, it was hard not to pick up on how they spoke.

It wasn't as hot as it could have been - something that she could find herself to appreciate somewhere in the back of her mind - but it was definitely more boring that necessary. Cell connection was hopeless, unfortunately. Being in the middle of no where was no fun. She didn't see the appeal of just living out in the country. Exclusion was boring and you didn't get to interact with anyone. She didn't understand how people managed to live like that, it would have driven her crazy to say the least.
Well, more crazy than she already was. The voices in the back of her mind were a bit stronger than usual, and that was something that Alina found to put her on edge. Her muscles were tensed as if trying to hold a pose for a long time or preparing herself for a fight - something that didn't happen to her a lot. That was strange and an idea that she didn't want her thoughts to have to linger, but there wasn't exactly much to think about. That was definitely a key idea why exclusion wasn't a great thing for her - it gave her way too much time to think. Think about things that she purposely shoved in the back of her mind to not have to think about. The city life was the life for her, why else would she live in New York City?
The voice made her jump, and seeing the stranger almost immediately Alina felt uneasy in his presence. Whoever this man was, she didn't want to be by him. The voices became stronger in with him being around. Biting down on her lower lip, she glanced at the car who gave not a single look at the two of them. Dick. "Uhh, my engine just screwed up or something. I'm fine." The last bit was a lie through her teeth, but she kept the same outside maintained while speaking through it. "Who are you?" It may have been a bit too blunt to be perceived as completely polite - but he had appeared a little too quickly for her to like, and well, the vibe she was getting was enough to make her want to walk away.

She was rather fidgety in his presence. Ambriel gave a raised eyebrow to this girl. She was strange. In fact, there was something outright off about her. He couldn't put his finger on it, though.
Ambriel glanced to the hood of the girl's car. She said she was 'fine', but he knew that was not the case. Help should have arrived already if the whole situation was under control. Unless she genuinely liked being stranded.
"My name is John," he replied.
This was partially true. While Ambriel's name was not John, his vessel's name was. He had been asked that question by humans so many times, it was a miracle he still remembered his real name.
"What's yours? If you don't mind me asking." Ambriel could sense the hostility. Humans were always so uptight and tense. Though, Ambriel did generally only appear during troubling situations. This was the side of people had had seen the most.
Placing a hand on the car's hood, Ambriel looked back up at the girl. "I doubt that everything is fine, though. You don't know what's wrong with your car. Unless you've called for help?" Ambriel wasn't the friendliest angel in his garrison.
"I'm sort of a mechanic. So, if you wanted, I could try and fix your vehicle's engine." As curious as he was about the girl, his job was to help her and then leave. Not chat for a Q and A.

She casually brushed off the motion however, running a hand through her long, dark hair. She couldn't help but bite down on her lower lip, now with him around wishing more than ever that her phone had a signal and she could just call someone or get a mechanic. That was a much better idea in her head than having this stranger do anything for her. There was too much off about him, combining the weird, almost familiar feeling that she was getting from here and of course the now louder voices. That wasn't fun to deal with.
"Alina," She answered half-heartedly. Pressing her lips together in a rather thin line, she placed her phone in one of the cup holders, getting up and out of her convertible. The man was older than herself, and something told her that he wasn't exactly here to be friendly with her. That was never quite the case nowadays. She wanted him gone, though, and she wanted him gone now. Even if the chances of that happening weren't exactly likely. "There's no signal out here. I guess you could try." Her words were a bit wary, almost if she was tired, though that happened to be far from the situation. She was on edge more than anything else at the moment. This wasn't an every day occurrence, and she sure as hell didn't want it to be either.
Glancing around, expecting a parked car of some sorts, her face fell when there was none. That didn't make any sense. People didn't just appear out of thin air. Alina sometimes suspected herself of being a bit crazy, but she knew that stuff like this did not happen. They couldn't - it wasn't physically possible. "H - how did you get here?" She asked very quickly, her voice alarmed as she took an unsteady step backwards, trying to increase the amount of distance in between them. That just had to be absolutely impossible, he couldn't just appear here out of thin air. Things like that didn't happen - they weren't supposed to happen.

"Alina. A pleasure." He gave a brief nod and kept his smile. He had to try to be nice, at least. It comforted humans. Though, she seemed to be the uncommon exception.
His blue eyes followed Alina as she stepped away from her car, giving Ambriel permission to take a look at her vehicle to assess the situation.
"I figured you had no signal, unless maybe you liked strangers coming to help you," the angel said, addressing the impression that Alina was rather uncomfortable.
Rolling up his black sleeves, Ambriel moved to the front of Alina's car, opening the hood and keeping it in place. He bent over as his fingers went to work. The mechanics behind cars was no something every angel was supposed to know. Ambriel had to to though, for situations such as this. However, it didn't take the angel very long to figure it out. Vehicles were very easy to understand compared to some things he had to learn. Such as a human's thought process. Still working on that one, actually.
Ambriel's eyes perked up as he heard the shuffle of feet behind him and Alina's question. He smiled. But this time, it was an actual smile. "Your car will be fine in another fifteen minutes. It just overheated. You drive for too long." Ambriel lowered the hood again and rolled down his sleeves.
Laughing, the angel fixed the loose button on his shirt. "Well, I certainly didn't just appear out of thin air. I'm not an angel." Even he couldn't help but smirk at that one. If any of his brethren were here, they would surely be roaring with laughter!
...He was having trouble coming up with a good excuse, actually.
