He was the King of Hell. The. Freaking. King. Of. Hell. And yet here he was, again, keeping a low profile. When was he ever going to be able to catch a break? This was all Castiel's fault. Why could no one be trusted? It was absolutely ridiculous. And people wondered why he is the way he is. Shaking his head the demon walked through the graveyard, feeling slightly disgusted as he did so. There wasn't any particular reason why he was out here. Maybe it was due to the fact that the dead couldn't do a single thing to harm him, or he just had nothing better to do.
Since the whole Castiel being a bastard thing went down Crowley had all but disappeared. He had been keeping an ear out though, checking on Castiel and the Winchesters; and their little pet Bobby Singer as well. All seemed to be relatively quiet. How boring was that? There was also something else, a whisper of a situation much like one they had gone through with Lucifer. Crowley wasn't exactly sure what was going on but you could bet he was doing his best to find out. The rug would not be pulled out from him a second time. The would be literal hell to pay if that happened.
He kicked at a loose rock and stopped to watch as it skittered further along the path. So this was what he had been reduced to? Slinking around cemetaries and keeping his nose out of trouble. This really did suck. He was actually disgusted at himself for letting things get as bad as they were. He would have his day though, he was sure of it. Crowley would force Castiel to surrender Purgatory and then he would be more than just the King of Hell. The world would be under his control, it was all just a matter of timing. And if anyone asked or even attempted to he would play this all off as being part of his plan (which it definitely wasn't).
Shoving his hands into the pockets of his jacket he started up his walk again. It was a moment later that he paused, swearing he heard something in a nearby bush. All he could think was it better be some sort of woodland creature or there would be an angry demon to deal with. He stood there quietly waiting to see if the thing moved away or if it was a person, they showed their face.

SLOW RIDE
Why am I even here?
The thought stung, drifting, unanswered, because there was no real reason behind the fact that she was wandering a graveyard. Earlier, Lucie had been going far beyond the speed limit, and had probably ran more than a dozen red lights, just to get that rush of being invincible. That she had no limits; that she was untouchable, which led to her to believe that “nothing could go wrong” during her little escapade. That is, until a few police officers had decided to pursue her. The fun ended there, with Lucie having to deal with the hassle of trying to lose them, in an effort to avoid getting arrested.
She didn’t care for law enforcers, nor did she respect them, so it was only natural for her to keep going. Lucie, only by luck, had succeeded in getting away, turning down a dirt path into a densely wooded area. It was the perfect place to ditch the car, and stumble upon the empty cemetery. Well, it was empty of living people, but it was full of the dead. Lucie didn’t mind the fact that she was surrounded by dead people, as long as they stayed in their graves, it didn’t bother her. It just bothered her that this was where she ended up. Was it a sign, that next time she were to have a little ‘fun, this was where she would end up?
The thought lingered, though she knew that was complete bullshit. Lucie normally ended up in odd places, it was only a matter of time before it would be a cemetery. She continued along, at peace with the silence that surrounded her. Her mind wandered off, thinking about what she should do next. Find another car, most likely, and find the nearest motel. That was what she normally did, in those situations when she had either accidentally lost the car she had stolen, or if she had gotten busted.
None of this would be happening if you just stayed at home.
Lucie stopped herself, puzzled at the sudden thought that had popped into her mind. It had been a while, since she had thought about what she would be doing if she had stayed with her mother. She let out a small sigh, knowing that it was too late to change. Not that she didn’t enjoy being a hunter, it was just during those times of weakness, she wondered what it would have been like to lead a normal life.
She had been looking at a certain grave for a little while, as she thought about how her life was far from normal. The strange statue that marked it had intrigued her to the point that she had been glued to it, just observing. As she stared off into space at it, something caught her eye; there was something moving. Lucie focused in on it, and saw a man, who was not far away at all; he was almost on top of her. She stood in silence for a few moments, not wanting to cause attention to herself. Maybe he was mourning; she didn’t want to intrude on something like that.
There was a nearby bush, that looked more than big enough to hide herself from the man. There was nothing more awkward than starting a conversation at a graveyard. Lucie dove for it, keeping as quiet as she could, watching the man through the leaves. She didn’t know what to do; she could either flat out run away, or wait until he passed. The latter of the two was less risky, so she decided on that, until she had made a wrong step, cracking a stick beneath her weight. The man had turned, and stared at where she was hiding, although she didn’t think he could see her. Lucie froze as thoughts rapidly sprung through her mind, trying to figure out what to do in a situation like this.
He knew there was something there, obviously, and having him come over to find her there would be extremely embarrassing for her. Lucie let out a breath, revealing herself was the only option that wouldn’t leave her in a completely embarrassed state. She slowly stood up, watching him carefully as he did so. He didn’t look dangerous, or at least, to her she didn’t. ”S-sorry.” Lucie said, still standing behind the bush, a soft shade of pink. ”I didn’t mean to invade your privacy.”

Crowley was pretty damn close to pulling his little disappearing act but the longer he stood there the more he could tell that whatever it was hiding in the bush was not a furry little woodland creature. Well this could be interesting. It wasn't a demon or an angel, that much he could tell. It was human, through and through, and the question was why in the bloody hell was he or she hiding in the bushes. Who would do that anyway?
Oh. So it was a woman. That made things even more interesting. She looked completely embarrassed about the situation and the man couldn't fight a grin. Crowley would have definitely hated to be in her position. Then again, he wouldn't have been caught dead hiding as she had been. He was much too classy for that. There were many directions Crowley could go for him. He could be the asshole, he could simply wave her off, or he could scare the daylights out of her. What to do, what to do?
"What are you doing hiding in a bush?" He questioned. Yes he was aware he hadn't exactly acknowledged her apology but it wasn't as if he really cared about it. Apologies did nothing for Crowley, though they did help a bit with his ego as the person was admitting they had done something to offend him. And as long as it wasn't him doing the admitting then everything was pretty peachy. He wouldn't admit to doing anything wrong anyway. No, that was very beneath him.
His green eyes carefully observed the woman. Since she had apologized she didn't seem as bashful which was actually pretty interesting. Did she believe that this made everything right? Apologizing rarely did that. "Do you make this a habit? Interrupting people's periods of grieving?" Eh. So he supposed he was taking the asshole route; it just came so naturally. Plus, as much as he loathed his kind, he was still a demon.

SLOW RIDE
Lucie quickly regretted showing herself. She tucked her hands into her jean pockets as she stepped away from the bush, still somewhat embarrassed. The man hadn’t said anything about her apology, nor did she think he was going to, due to his first impression. ”W-well, I just…uhm.”

[/b] Words. USE YOUR GODDAMN WORDS. She took a few moments, trying to think through how she was going to explain to him why she had happened to be hiding in a bush. It was quite juvenile, she thought to herself, though it had seemed like the perfect idea when she had first thought of it. ”I didn’t want you to see me,”[/b] She admitted at last, looking down at her sneakers. ”I didn’t even notice you at first, and I didn’t want to intrude..because I’m not here for any particular reason. So, I hid,”[/b] Lucie explained, repeating what she had said in her mind, making sure that it had made sense. It made sense, but it had sounded stupid, which was pretty much the story of her life. If she was merely talking to someone, and not helping them in anyway, it was a given that she would say or do something stupid. She didn’t feel as much as ease as she had before, because this man didn’t exactly seem partial to apologies. ”Buy you uh, found me,”[/b] She added sheepishly, trying to give him one of her best innocent faces, which she was something she was rather proud of, because thanks to them she has gotten out of trouble numerous times. Lucie hoped that it would help in this incredibly awkward situation. The next thing he had said stung her a bit. It’s not like her intention was to interrupt him, in fact, that was what she was trying not to do. ”That wasn’t my intention,”[/b] Her face tightened as she clenched her teeth, trying not to get all hot and bothered over something like this. She figured that if the roles had been reversed, she probably would have been rather annoyed and upset as well. Lucie took a few moments to calm down; she wasn’t going to start with this man. If it were in a different setting, she would have most definitely given him a piece of her mind, but they were in a graveyard for Christ’s sake. He was mourning over someone; she certainly wouldn’t want someone flipping on her when she was trying to mourn. [/size] [/div] take it easy WORDS: 409 TAGGED: CROWLEY.
