PERSONAL STYLE
MY clothes are simple. I like jeans in the winter. It keeps me warm right? Like anyone else. Along with my jeans, I like my sweatshirts plain and simple. Sweatshirts are nice because they keep me warm and I don't have to layer too much. I wear tennis shoes because they are supportive along with the fact that I have to run a lot, they're good for running. In the summer, I wear shorts and tee-shirts. It's simple and I have fewer clothes to carry. Yeah I know my style various but what the hell; it's a change from a lot of the hunters who wear the same damn thing almost every day.

LIKES
- Reading – I read whenever I have time. I always have a book on me. If I'm on a hunt, it's in the car waiting for my return.
- Writing – With all the shit I see in my life, I need some way to let it all come out, that's what writing does.
- Family – Even though I left my family, I still love ‘em.
- Beer – It gets my mind off the hunt after it’s happened. It erases all the shit I’ve done for a little while. Plus, it just tastes damn god.
- Knives – My daddy taught me how to use 'em. I use 'em whenever I can on a hunt. They are like an extension of my body.
- '88 Ford F-250 4x4 Pickup Truck – It was my daddy's. I promised him I would take care of it. Plus, it's pretty easy to hide weapons in there. I mean, the car has a big ass bed.
- Husky's – Our family had a husky before my daddy died. I love husky's and always will.
- Hunting – It's something I've learned to love through the years. It's weird 'cuz most people don't like it but I do.
DISLIKES
- Snakes – They're dangerous and poisonous. Why the hell would I want to see or touch one!?
- Demons – They killed my daddy; why else would I hate 'em?
- Smart Cars – Why the hell would someone drive a car that small?! It's a death trap on wheels!
- Liars – It just makes researching a pain in the ass. Just tell the damn truth!
- Death – I’ve had too much death in my life. And also who doesn't fear death? I don't want to die. Well... just not yet…
- Research – I don't want to spend hours in a library researching. I've been to school. I've done my time.
STRENGTHS
- Knives – I have some pretty bad ass skills with knives. Thank you daddy.
- Love for family – Like I said before, family is important to me.
- Focus during a hunt – I have a strong focus during a hunt.
WEAKNESSES
- Snakes – When I see a snake, I start to cry while running the other way. I'll be off that bed faster than you can saw pudding.
- Getting distracted during research – I have a problem with that... My mind tends to wander...
SPECIAL SKILLS I'm pretty damn talented with my knives. It's like they're a part of my body.

HISTORY (its a lot longer then 2 paragraphs, hope you don't mind)
MAGGIE Mae was born on the fifth of May in the year nineteen thousand and eighty eight to Shannon and Jonathan Martin. She was the oldest of what would be three beautiful children to the couple. Maggie was a tiny baby weighing barely six pounds. Her hair was jet black and her eyes a granite gray. Her parents have always told her that she took after her father in looks but her mother's personality.
DURING Maggie's early years of life, everything was fine. Her younger sister was born when she was seven years old. It was a challenge for Maggie because she was use to being the only child and have all the attention to herself. The first couple of months, Maggie learned that if she did something she wasn't suppose to do, then her parents would pay attention to her. After those months, she learned to like her sister and grow attached to Sarah Gabi. During those months where Maggie took a liking to Sarah, she would be right at Sarah's side when she started to cry. She would try and figure out was wrong and if she didn't, she'd like Shannon take over. As Sarah grew older, Maggie played with her and kept her occupied while their parents would disappear for hours at a time.
LIFE went on; Nic was born two years later. After Nic was born, only Jonathan would disappear. Shannon would stay home but she would be anxious or nervous during that whole time. She would clean or sit in front of the TV staring out the window waiting for the old pickup truck that Maggie grew to love over the years. It was like she was almost waiting for something bad to happen.
NOTHING major happened between the age of nine and eighteen. Maggie went to school, joined the softball and volleyball teams. She continued to care for her brother and sister. Her father would still disappear for hours at a time and even days. Her mother would still watch the window like something bad was going to come through it.
MAGGIE'S senior year of high school, she graduated and went to college. She went to Ohio State University where she was working on her degree in education. Since her family lived in Florida, she had to live on campus. She came home during the breaks, holidays, and over the summer.
WHEN Maggie was home from break during her freshmen year of college, Jonathan came home severely wounded after he was done for a couple days. He had told his children that he was going on a business trip for work. They believed him because what parents lies to their children? Well, apparently this one did. When Jonathan came through the front door in broken and bleeding, Maggie had to take him to the hospital. He protested and said everything was going to be alright. Maggie didn't believe and she practically had to drag her dad out to the car. Maggie had just learned how to drive and she was the only one home.
AFTER a couple hours of sitting in the waiting room, Maggie was allowed to see her father. She started to demand answers. No one comes home that severely wounded from a business trip. After realizing Maggie wouldn't stop asking questions, he told Maggie the truth. About what goes bump in the night and what happens when ten people mysterious disappear every ten years. Jonathan didn't want to tell her but he had to choice. He told her that when he and her mother would disappear for hours at a time, it was because they were hunting. The reaction Maggie gave Jonathan surprised him.
SHE wanted in.
AFTER trying to talk Maggie out of it, he realized there was no way she'd say no. He promised her once he was out of the hospital, he would teacher her everything he knew and take her on a hunt once she was ready.
AFTER a couple of weeks, like he promised, Jonathan began to teach Maggie the ropes. What to do, what not to do, how to salt 'n burn, who to stay away from, how to shot a gun. The works. He also taught her how to use knives. She had trouble with them at first but she learned how to use them and how they would help in a hunt. Maggie loved it. She loved the adventure and the adrenaline rush that she got from the hunts.
SHANNON found out and she wasn't very happy with this. She had wanted her children to live normal lives. Not the life she led. She didn't want them to live on the road and nowhere else. She wanted to them to have the white picket fence life and not the hunting life. Maggie and Shannon had fought for hours and days about this before she finally gave up on convincing her daughter not to do down the path she did.
WHEN she went on her first hunt, a simple salt 'n burn, everything went off without one problem. Her father and she worked almost as one. They moved in sync. After the hunt was over, Maggie wanted more of it. It was almost like being high and being addicted to the crack. She just couldn't get enough of the hunt.
HUNTING introduced her to beer. She wouldn’t be able to sleep at night and would resort in going to bars and drinking. She learned beer was one of the few ways to get the images and adrenaline out of her body after a hunt. Like most hunters, beer quickly became her best friend.
SHE continued to go on hunts with her father during breaks. When she was up in Ohio, she would pick up little cases here and there to get the adrenaline rush. During the breaks, she began to go on more difficult hunts. He told her if she's living on her own, she needed to know how to take care of herself and the only way to do that was to continue to hunt, but only harder.
SO that's what they did. They continued to do this until she was twenty-two. She was on her final year of college and needed to get her degree. She devoted all her time to studying and her father was a little peeved at this but her mother not so much. Shannon liked the fact that Maggie had decided to study instead of hunt.
MAGGIE graduated from college with her degree in education and mythology. She had decided to change her minor to mythology to help when she would go on hunts. The only way it would really help was to give her background information that she wouldn't need to look up (not that it would really do anything).
SHE went to live back home until she found a steady job somewhere doing something. She would prefer a teaching job but she wasn’t sure if that would happen. Maggie went on hunts with Jonathan a lot. They were back into their norm. It was just like when she first started going on hunts. Like before, Shannon hated it. She wanted Maggie to have a normal life but Maggie knew she wasn’t going to have a normal life. She was always going to live a different life from her family.
MAGGIE and Jonathan went on a hunt involving a Wendigo in Minnesota. They had been following it for a while when it snuck up on them and attacked them. It smashed Maggie into a tree and Jonathan shot it as an automatic response. It screeched and snatched Jonathan and disappeared. She had several cuts on her body from the tree. Maggie tried to find Jonathan but knew it would be next to impossible in the large wooded area of Minnesota.
AFTER a day of looking for Jonathan, Maggie knew he was as good as dead. She started to head back to the truck. She was walking and passed a small cave that she had seen when they first started their hunt but never thought to check the cave. She hoped and prayed to God that her father was in that cave. Maggie wandered around in the cave for a little while and found a room off to the side that had bodies in it. The stench of dead, rotting bodies were almost unbearable. There were seven or eight recent bodies from people who had gone missing over the years. Maggie found Jonathan’s body after a couple minutes of searching. His body was cold and lifeless. He died at the age of forty five.
MAGGIE took the body from the cave and dragged it back to the truck. She laid the body in the back and covered it with a tarp. She drove without stopping until she found a clearing in the middle of nowhere (that wasn’t very hard considering she was in Minnesota). She burned Jonathan’s body like any hunter, except herself, would want.
SHE had to drive the next day and a half by herself thinking of how to tell Shannon what happened. By the time Maggie got home, she knew she was going to live in a different state hunting. Maybe not even in a state, she may even live on the road. She quickly decided against that. She knew her family needed her.
WHEN she got home, Maggie told Shannon Jonathan had died while hunting. She had told her he died suddenly and painlessly. Maggie hated to lie to her own momma but she knew it was necessary considering how much she protested that Maggie and Jonathan hunted. Maggie said she did everything she could. Shannon told Nic and Sarah and Maggie left to travel and hunt against her momma’s protests. She began to travel around the country calling home every once in a while.

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE
MAGGIE slammed the car door furious at herself, her momma, and the world. It wasn’t fair. Everything had fallen apart in the matter of four days. Her daddy had died, she had to salt ‘n burn the body, drive all the way home, tell her momma what happened, and then deal with this shit. She jammed the key into the ignition starting the car up. Maggie threw the car into reverse and looked behind her at the road. She pulled out into the street and looked at the house. Sarah was standing on the front porch with her hands balled up in firsts. Nic was standing next to Sarah confused at what was going on. Shannon was nowhere to be seen.
SHE punched the gas and drove off. The windows were down and the wind blew through her hair. Her cheeks were cold from the tears streaming down them and the wind hitting her tears. She wanted everything to stop. Shannon had told her she wasn’t allowed to hunt anymore. Maggie couldn’t do that. She needed to hunt. She loved to hunt. It was one thing that Shannon would never understand. What ended up Maggie leaving was Shannon shouting “You’re just like your father! Always wanting to hunt! You know what that got him? Death! Is that they way you want to live and end your life?”
SHE didn’t understand why Shannon would want her to stop hunting. Okay, she understood but she couldn’t stop. It had been her life for six years. She needed hunting because it’s where she took out her anger and frustration. The one drawback was it started her drinking. It wasn’t something she could help but she needed to get wasted after hunts. It helped her take her mind off what she had just done.
MAGGIE took the exit ramp to the highway and started the long journey up the state to start her new adventure away from her family. She would still keep in touch with them but for now, she needed to be away.
