I'll never be the same

Weird, that's all I could think. Too quiet, way too quiet
She pulled into the diner, her car breaking fast as she hit the pavement. Slowly she looked up, she arrived. Quickly slamming the door, she pulled herself out of her car and ran inside the diner. Isley had already worked at a diner and has been for around a year already and she felt exhausted long shifts, working late and tonight she needed that break. "Oh, Coffee with milk and sugar, please." She knew the routine: order a coffee, get a coffee, drink that coffee and pay oh, and leave. She felt a sudden emptiness as she took a seat at one of the tables and waited, tonight she was here alone, here for business and no business she knew about. She quickly grabbed a pen from her purse and began scribbling on one of the napkins, you could almost make out short poems, little lyrics and a few drawings here and there.
The little diner was empty there were a few faces here and there but as Isley glanced around one by one people began leaving. What's going on? She only then seen little pamphlets on the table, museums half price openings. Ah. Explains it.The town was quiet, that's what Isley liked about it, nobody bothered anyone but the town were one of those see those people once and that's all sort of thing. Kind of odd. Very odd.
She quickly turned away from the pamphlets and looked out the window sipping her coffee and gripping onto the mug. Isley never enjoyed hot drinks in fact, she never liked them coffee was an exception for now, she needed that extra boost.
"Another please" she smiled, seeing the waitress quickly nod and scatter off. Folding her hands and placing them over her face she quickly closed her eyes and just as fast open them, this was exactly what she needed - Quiet. Although the town didn't have much but silence; she turned back to the window seeing a few more cars pull in, finally the place looked a little more busy than usual.
