I'M ON THE HIGHWAY TO HELLliving easy, living free season ticket on a one-way ride Lucie walked into the diner, letting out a huff as she did so. She was tired, which was completely normal because she had just pulled an all-nighter behind the wheel. Instead of checking straight into a motel, like she would have normally done, she stopped at this measly diner because she was practically starved. Well, that might be a bit of an exaggeration, but she was hungry, to say the least. Lucie gave a quick nod to one of the waitresses as she took a seat in one of the empty booths. She rubbed her sleep-deprived eyes as she titled her head back onto the head of the seat she was sitting in, resting her eyes for a moment until the waitress finally made her way to where Lucie was sitting.
”I’ll have a coffee and uhm, chocolate chip pancakes, please,”
She said, readjusting herself so that she was sitting normally. The waitress only nodded and went off to get her coffee. It had been a while since she’s actually had real breakfast food, especially pancakes, so she thought that since she was here, she would indulge herself. It couldn’t hurt, anyway, and it wasn’t like she was in this town for a real reason. As far as she was concerned, this was just a place to lay over because she was sick of all the driving she was doing. Lucie didn’t think that anything “supernatural” was going on in this town, nor was she going to look. It was just one of those times where she was tired, and wanted to sleep it out and be on her way. The waitress brought her coffee back and she took a generous sip out of it, not caring about how hot it was. Lucie took a quick look around the diner; it was practically empty save a few people who were minding their own business, eating breakfast. It was quiet, and she appreciated that, because she did have a slight headache after blasting the stereo in her car for hours upon hours just to keep herself from falling asleep behind the wheel. She held her head in her hand as she thought about what she was supposed to do next. Her life had gotten hectic over the past few weeks; it was beginning to feel like she was hunting monsters nonstop. Lucie needed a break, and that was her main reasoning for stopping in this small town, to finally get some rest and relax for a day or two before returning back to her busy “job”. She took another sip of her coffee, and propped her feet up on the seat across from hers. A small sigh escaped her lips as she leaned her head back again and closed her eyes for a moment, taking in the quietness and the peacefulness of the small diner. Dean was tired. He hadn’t slept the night before and he was on his own. There was no Sam here to drive the Impala now. He needed to get food and coffee. Coffee was essential at the moment. The nearest place to get that wasn’t in the Impala (which was where he was currently sitting). Coffee was currently located at a diner. He just needed to get there first…
He was on his own working coming back from a case. Sam was somewhere and Bobby was back at his house where Dean was currently trying to get to. He was tired, sore, and covered in bruise or he would’ve driven straight to Bobby’s house. Sam was somewhere and Dean had no idea where. He was getting annoyed of not knowing where Sam was but he was a big boy, he could take care of himself.
A diner came into view and Dean pulled into the parking lot. He was closer to coffee, much closer than he had been before. Turning the keys in the ignition, Dean waited for a moment and closed his eyes. After a couple of minutes, he opened them again, stepped out of the car, and shut the door. The smell of coffee, eggs, and bacon overwhelmed his senses. It wasn’t until now that he realized he was starving.
Dean walked over to the door of the diner and pulled it open. He looked around contemplating at sitting at the bar. The bar meant he’d have to talk to people and he didn’t want to do that right now. He was too tired. With the decision made, Dean went to find a booth. Unfortunately, all the booths and tables were taken.
Sighing, Dean looked around and saw one booth that had one girl in it. She looked to be in her early twenties. She had her head leaning back with her eyes closed. Smiling, Dean walked over and stood next to her. “Do you mind if I sit here?”

I'M ON THE HIGHWAY TO HELLliving easy, living free season ticket on a one-way ride Lucie was pulled out of her thoughts by a voice, though she wasn’t all too bothered about it. She had a habit of thinking too much about certain things, especially her life, so it was good to have a little break from the constant worrying and negative thoughts that had begun to fill her mind during this moment of relaxation. She opened one eye first, getting a quick glimpse at the man before opening her other one. He was quite attractive, actually, and he had a nice smile. Lucie couldn’t help but smile back at the man that stood beside her. She quickly removed her feet from being propped up on the seat across from her.
”Oh, yeah sure, I don’t mind at all,”
She replied and smiled, running a hand through her hair. Lucie observed the diner, it seemed that it had gotten a lot more busy since she last had looked, which probably was what had brought this young man to want to sit with her, because it didn’t look like there were any open booths left. Lucie finished the rest of her coffee, and set the cup down softly onto the table, not sure of what she should do now that she was sharing a booth with some random guy. He was cute and he did seem rather friendly, but she didn’t know whether talking to him would be a good idea right now. She didn’t want it to be all that awkward, though. Though Lucie was practically Queen of anything and everything awkward, it would be weird just sitting her and eating in silence, while there’s some guy that’s sitting across from her eating as well. She looked up at him, and let out a small sigh. ”So, if we’re going to be sharing this wonderful booth, I guess we should get somewhat acquainted,” She grinned slightly and ran her hand through her hair again. ”My name’s Lucie,” She introduced, holding out her hand for a handshake. She recalled her feet to her own bench, opened her eyes, and leaned forward. She had big brown eyes that were a counter part to Deans own green ones, her hair was brown, wavy, and long. “Oh, yeah sure, I don’t mind at all,”
the girl smiled, running her hand through her hair. Dean nodded in thanks and sat down across from her. The diner had picked up even from the moments that Dean had walked through the front doors. The girl finished her coffee just as a waiter came over. “Can I get you something to eat honey?” Dean almost frowned at the honey part considering the waiter was older then someone Dean would hit on. Despite his feelings toward being called honey, he ordered some coffee, eggs, bacon, hash browns, and biscuits. The waiter wrote down everything and said she’d bring out the coffee on a minute. Once again, Dean nodded in thanks. Dean leaned back in the booth not really caring if the two talked again. He was too tired to even try to hook up with her. Besides, it was early morning. Dean looked back to the girl when she spoke again. “So, if we’re going to be sharing this wonderful booth, I guess we should get somewhat acquainted,” The girl ran her hand through her hair again. It must be a nervous habit she did or just a habit in general. The girl did have a point. They should at least talk to each other while they waited for their food. “My name’s Lucie.” Lucie. Dean smiled thinking how Lucie was a perfect fit for her. She seemed like a Lucie. Dean didn’t know why but her name fit her perfectly. “Lucie… what a pretty name. Name’s Dean.” Just then, the coffee Dean ordered came. He took a drink of it immediately feeling the energy kick coffee gave you. “So Lucie, do you live here or are just passing through?” Dean asked holding the coffee in his hand feeling the warmth and energy from the drink. I'M ON THE HIGHWAY TO HELLliving easy, living free season ticket on a one-way ride Lucie raised her eyebrows as he ordered his food, leading her to assume that he was rather hungry (or maybe starving would be the better word), because he had ordered a massive amount of food. Maybe he was in a similar situation, having been driving all night, and not stopping for food. Or maybe he was just a pig. Either way, it wasn’t any of her business and she certainly wasn’t going to ask him about it. They had just become acquainted because there were no seats available for him, so she wasn’t going to be rude and ask him why he ordered so much food.
She kept her eyes on her empty cup of coffee, until the waiter came over and refilled it. Lucie nodded in thanks and took a few sips of it before setting it down gingerly on the table. Her face flushed pink slightly at him complimenting her name. So, he still seemed rather polite, and she was glad that she wasn’t stuck sharing her booth with some complete jerk. ”Well, it’s nice to meet you, Dean,”
She smiled genuinely at him, before taking another sip of her coffee. Lucie appreciated that he was friendly, and didn’t mind the fact that he too was trying to make small talk. It never hurt to talk to someone, even if she didn’t know who they were. This was one of those situations where she didn’t mind talking to a stranger, mostly because he was nice and slightly attractive. Well, he was more than slightly attractive, but still. He was polite, and polite people go a long way when it comes to Lucie. She felt a bit at ease sitting with him, and she all ready decided that she was going to try her best and be nice right back to Dean. She didn’t want to get all awkward on him just because they had just met (which is something that tends to happen when it comes to Lucie meeting new people). He just seemed a bit different than the people she would interact with, the victims, the cops, witnesses, and so on. It was nice to just sit and talk with a normal person for once. Though, she wasn’t going to completely leave her guard down, she knew better than to do that now after what had happened before with Jack. One minute they were going to get some pancakes, the next he disappeared and ended up revealing himself as a Trickster. There was something off about Jack from the start, though, but as far as she could tell, Dean was just normal. ”Just passing through, spent all night driving and thought I’d just stop here and rest a bit,” Lucie explained, tapping the side of her coffee cup softly. ”What about you?” LYRICS;; HIGHWAY TO HELL - AC/DC TAG;; DEAN <3 WORD COUNT;; 465 OTHER;; . SO WHAT IF YOU CAN SEE, THE DARKEST SIDE OF ME? He was hungry and hadn’t eaten since lunch yesterday. He hadn’t had time so now was the perfect time to eat. He wasn’t sure when he was going to eat next because he was driving up to Bobby’s. When she didn’t question that mass amount of food he ordered, Dean was thankful. It meant a conversation that he’d rather leave for later if they ever got to it. He didn’t feel like brining up the fact that he was a hunter right now. When Dean complimented her name, Lucie blushed. He smiled at that. It was cute. “Well, it’s nice to meet you, Dean,”
Lucie smiled. “It’s nice to meet you too,” Dean responded, taking a drink of the warm goodness in front of him. Coffee did wonders to a person. It brought them from being dead tired to wide awake in a matter of 0.32 seconds. Why couldn’t he have this wonderful stuff in shots to pump into him whenever he wasn’t near coffee. Maybe he could invent something like that… He’d be rich! Like the person who made the silly band. C’mon, that guy was a genius. It didn’t take a lot to make them and they sold for not that much but tens of thousands of kids had them. Dean had seen them when he was working cases or passing through. He bet he could look around this room and see a bunch of them. “Just passing through, spent all night driving and thought I’d just stop here and rest a bit,” Lucie said, playing with her cup. So pretty much the same thing that Dean was doing. “What about you?” Dean took another drink of his coffee and set it down with his hands on either side of the cup like guards guarding an important person. “Same thing pretty much. I was working a job and I’m trying to get back home.” Dean said, realizing that he probably looked like he had wrestled a little considering he was covered in bruises. Maybe he’d said too much but who cares, he was still tired and sore. “So where are you heading?” [/blockquote] “My character talking” “Your character talking” • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •
